I wrote yesterday about making turkey stock and getting into a new blank MIDORI notebook. Today has turned out much the same. I think I’ll end up with some seven quarts of stock, all told. Not too shabby! Completed artwork and some discussion of bike life after the cut, please stick around:

Snow’s been gently falling all day. Hard to believe that sunny Sunday bike ride and turkey quest was less than a week ago. I must’ve put twenty-five pounds of food on the rack. Which makes me wonder, what’s the weight limit on that thing?
Hard to say whether I’ll engage in any winter biking this year. Last year I didn’t put my studs on, I just biked when the roads were good, which they hardly ever were. The two previous winters I doggedly biked to work and sometimes fell. My hands were frozen 100% of the time. Maybe time to get back on the horse.

The cat’s here asking to go for her walk. She seems stronger after these past couple days eating slices of simmered giblets with breakfast and dinner. We’ll bundle up and go looking for voles in the garden, under the snow. Later will be Thanksgiving Three, the pinnacle.
After this it’s soup and sammies all the way down.
